Lockdown is finally lifting, and we've got our fingers crossed that the weather will stay gorgeous and sunny (who are we kidding, this is Britain) as we start to embrace our social lives again.
If you're looking for things to do in May, look no further than London's Covent Garden, which has announced plans to host its very first rosé wine festival.

To celebrate indoor dining returning on May 17th as the lockdown roadmap surges forward, the central London piazza, as well as a number of surrounding streets will see more than 20 restaurants take part in the three-week wine extravaganza, pouring out 30 different types of pink wine alongside rosé cocktails, rosé in a can and even the fairly novel frosé to sample.
The festival will also welcome nine pop-ups serving up our favourite pink bevvy, with cult bands such as Mirabeau and Amie wine taking part.
A number of Covent Garden's famous eateries are getting involved with the rosé theme, with Ladurée set to host a rosé-inspired afternoon tea. Dessert parlour Gelatorino Amorino will be serving their signature rose-shaped ice cream cones throughout, while fast food joint Shake Shack will sell a cherry blossom pink shake.

Michelle McGrath, of Capco Covent Garden, who manage the area, told the Evening Standard: "We're excited that Covent Garden will launch its first ever Rosé Festival on May 17th which will kick off the late May Bank Holiday celebrations early.
"It forms part of an extended summer programme of culture, showcasing the best of food, shopping, music and the arts to welcome everybody back to Covent Garden and the heart of the West End."
Covent Garden has undergone something of a makeover throughout the pandemic, with the piazza having added an extra 500 seats when al fresco dining was introduced last month.
