The festive snap was taken earlier in the year whilst the family visited Jordan so Prince William and Kate Middleton could carry out their festive duties.
Jordan is rumoured to hold a special place in Kate's heart due to childhood memories. The Duchess of Cambridge's father spent time working in the country as a flight dispatcher for British Airways.
In the festive snap, beaming parents Will and Kate can be seen alongside their three children; Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The three young royals look particularly grown up with prince George beaming next to Kate. The eight year old smiles for the camera whilst wearing a camo polo shirt and shorts. Princess Charlotte sits to the left of Prince William whilst wearing a cute blue gingham dress.
The youngest royal, Prince Louis, sits crosslegged at the front of the picture wearing a striped polo shirt and shorts.
The official Twitter account for the family released the snap, writing: "Delighted to share a new image of the family, which features on this year’s Christmas card."
Fans of the royal family have been quick to share their kind thoughts and delight at how much the three young royals have grown.
One fan wrote: "Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful picture with us, it is lovely to see how much the children have grown up. As always something to treasure."
Another said: "Absolutely love this picture! A beautiful couple and the children are getting so big!"
A third commented: "What a beautiful genuinely lovely photo of a gorgeous happy family …Doesn’t Charlotte look like a young Diana."
