Gabby Petito's Mum Shares Heartbreaking Message After Spotting Show About Daughter's Murder

'It feels like I'm outside looking in'.

The mum of murdered YouTuber Gabby Petito tweeted a heartbreaking message after streaming platform Hulu recommended her a show about her daughter.

Petito, 22, was a content creator and social media influencer, who was vlogging her road trip around US national parks before she went missing.

Her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, returned to their home in Florida at the beginning of September, while the vlogger was reported missing 10 days later. Her body was discovered at a campground in Wyoming on 19th September, and identified on the 21st of the same month.

"When you turn on Hulu, and your daughter's show is the recommended show to watch", she said.

"It's still shocking, feels like I'm outside looking in".

Hulu are currently streaming an episode of US true crime series 20/20, which tells Gabby's horrific story. Tagging Petito's father Joseph, her stepfather Jim and stepmother Tara in the post, she encouraged them to "keep going".

Petito's autopsy report was released on 12th October, confirming her cause of death as strangulation. A murderer has not yet been formally identified.

Laundrie was named as a person of interest, but never identified as a suspect by the police. Human remains - later confirmed to be those of Laundrie - were found next to his belongings at the Carlton nature reserve on 20th October.

The cause of his death is currently being investigated.
