M&S Has Just Launched On Deliveroo
M&S has now launched on Deliveroo, to enable households of people isolating the option to have essentials delivered.
As the UK is in a mild lockdown phase, where many are working from home and only allowed outside once a day to exercise and to go to the supermarket, the store is now making it easier for us to take government advice and stay home.
The partnership is with 120 BP garages around the country - franchised M&S stores - where people can order essentials from via the app.
You can buy everything from eggs to pasta and ready meals and even slightly less essential items, like wine and pizza (it's essential to us, OK?). There will be a choice of 60 items - the garages don't stock everything after all.
And the even better news is there will be no delivery charge and it will be delivered within 30 minutes.
This marks the first time that M&S products have been available on the delivery service and will surely help out so many people who are elderly, vulnerable or who have symptoms and cannot leave their homes.
You just need to check your Deliveroo app or the website to see if there is a garage offering the service in your area.
In addition, Essentials by Deliveroo has also just launched, available currently in Cambridge and Reading, but which will be rolled out in Brighton, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds and London in the next two weeks.
The service will offer a range of convenience items including pasta, rice and canned goods, once again to help those isolating at home who cannot leave, or the elderly, who may not have had any luck in supermarkets.
Once again, you will need to check your app to see if this service is available in your area.
Will Shu, founder and CEO of Deliveroo, said: "At Deliveroo, we want to do everything possible to help people get the food they want and need during this worrying period.
"We hope we can play a role in supporting people who have to isolate to get the food they need whether that's household items or restaurant food."
