Morrisons Is Selling A Kilogram Of Nutella For Just £4

If, like us, it feels like you get through a minimum of one tub of Nutella a week, we might have a new way to save you some pennies.

Morrisons has slashed the price of a one kilo jar of the delicious chocolate hazelnut spread by a whopping 25 per cent this week, meaning you can pick one up for just £4.

Yes, you can take home a ginormous tub of Nutella and still have change from a fiver.

Nutella has been a kitchen cupboard staple that's been a firm family favourite since it hit shelves in 1964.

But did you know Nutella was originally created when there was a cocoa shortage in 19^th Century Piedmont, Italy, which meant that chocolate had to be bulked out with ground hazelnuts and sold as a solid called pasta gianduja? Say it with us - zahn-doo-yah.

Kids went mental for it, and in 1952 it was softened and sold by the jar until the Nutella name change happened in 1964.

Since then people all over the world have been spreading it on toast and pancakes, stuffing it in doughnuts, mixing it into cookies and turning it into cheesecake.

Did you know there's even a Nutella S'mores Pizza in existence? Duh, of course you did.

In fact, the chocolate spread is so popular that is has over 31 million likes on Facebook and a jar is sold every 2.5 seconds globally.

We've also been known to celebrate World Nutella Day every February with every deliciously-nutty desert we can get our hands on.
