Donatella Versace has confirmed that we're actually all pronouncing her family name wrong. Yep, all these years we've been saying 'Versarchee' we haven't even been close.
In her ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, she demonstrates how to say her name properly.

Donatella also directly references how people have been pronouncing her name incorrectly in an interview for Vogue's 73 Questions series - which is once again doing the rounds on social media. The fashionista is asked which Italian word she found most annoying to hear Brits pronouncing wrong.

And her answer was her very own name.
"Versachee," she replies, before confirming: "It's Versach-eh."

Taking to social media after hearing the revelation, one fan wrote: "I TOLD YALL IT'S NOT VERSA-CHEE NOR VERA-CHAY. IT'S VERSA-CHE SMH".
While another replied: "Her telling the girls to pronounce Versace properly was a moment. People are too comfortable mispronouncing names under the guise that they aren't real names but made up names for a business".
The funniest part is that the interviewer actually pronounced the brand differently to this at the start of the interview, moments before she went on to set the record straight.

"The way she looked at him when he first said Versace," one person wrote on YouTube.
During the interview, the designer was also quizzed on what she would be doing if she didn't have her job.
"Having a nervous breakdown probably," she dryly replied.
Donatella is the sister of Gianni Versace, who founded the luxury fashion label. She inherited a portion of the brand after he was tragically murdered, in 1997.

Following his death, Donatella stepped up as creative director of the company alongside their brother Santo Versace and her niece Allegra Versace Beck, who also took key positions in the family run label.
In the interview, Donatella was asked about her brother, and spoke emotionally of how she missed his laugh, and remembered fondly being backstage with him "at the latest fashion show in Paris, just before he was killed."
On a lighter note, she also said that she would go for coffee with Michelle Obama if she could pick any guest, and she'd invite Barack Obama to dinner.

What is Donatella's must have fashion item, you might wonder? Well, it's a pair of tight black trousers, of course. And her favourite thing about fashion? "That it's always evolving."
Another hilarious titbit comes when Donatella was asked "How do you react to criticism?"
"I hate it," she replied. Us too, hun.
It can't be denied that Donatella provides some quality content, and you can bet we won't be pronouncing Versace wrong again..
