Sources Suggest Georgia Steel 'Wasn't Loyal' To 'Devastated' Sam Bird

Sam was first to announce the break-up on social media, saying he was 'devastated' that their romance had come to an end, and was too heartbroken to divulge why. Georgia echoed his words with her Instagram story break-up announcement too.

But according to reports, Georgia 'met up with a former flame' who she dated for a year before entering the Love Island villa this summer, which may have caused the end of her romance with Sam.

The insider explained: "She did meet up with her ex because she still had loads of his stuff and wanted to give it back.

"They ended up having a bit of a heart to heart, with Georgia admitting things weren't going very well with Sam and she ended up staying the night - but in the spare bedroom.

"Sam was furious and really shocked when he found out and decided to end it all. Georgia is devastated as she really loved him and wishes him nothing but the best."

Despite their loved-up appearance on the red carpet at ITV's Palooza earlier this week, the insider claimed that their relationship had been 'struggling' already as they'd spent a lot of time apart because of their busy post-Love Island schedules.

The source said: "In all honesty they had started falling out of love before she was accused of cheating."

A different insider close to the couple also said that Sam believed Georgia 'hadn't been loyal to him'.

Neither Georgia or Sam have commented on why they've gone their separate ways.

Announcing their break-up on social media on Wednesday evening, Sam wrote: "I'm devastated to announce me and Georgia have split up for reasons I cant bring myself to comment on at the moment. As always I wish her all the best."

And Georgia posted: "I'm very sad to say me and Sam have split. I will always care about him.

"However please understand this is a very hard time for both of us."
