Outer Banks stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline have confirmed they are an item.

The Netflix stars have been the subject of speculation for a while, with many fans pondering if they were an item after watching their cosy interactions online.

Now, they've finally gone Instagram official, coming clean about the fact they're not just a couple on screen!

Posting a picture of himself and Madelyn enjoying a date on the beach, John B actor Chase, 27 wrote: "cats outta the bag (sic)".

In one image, Madelyn was smiling as she held a bottle of wine in one hand, while another snap showed both their legs as they tucked into some takeaway food while sitting on the sand.

In reference to the series, Sarah Cameron star Madelyn, 22, jokily commented under the image: "Topper punching the air rn".

She then sweetly added: "I've fallen and I can't get up".

As the couple shared the news, it's fair to say a *lot* of people were stanning, but no one was more excited than their co-stars.

Rudy Pankow, who plays JJ, replied: "Boom!!", meanwhile, Drew Starkey, who stars as Rafe, teased: "Adopt me plz".

"Well it's about time," joked Pope actor Jonathan Daviss.

And, despite Madelyn's gag about Topper, he actually seemed pretty chuffed.

"YES SIR," wrote actor Austin North in the comments. Awwww.

The pair have been quarantining with some of their cast-mates throughout the coronavirus lockdown.

Speaking to ELLE Canada not long ago, Madelyn said: "Some of the cast have been quarantined together for over a month now.

"It's been a riot: we've been movie marathoning and binge-watching Jersey Shore and New Girl, we built a fort in my living room early on...we've been playing many games. All the games."

At first, the duo stayed quiet on anything romantic going on between them, but they have been sharing cosy pictures and flirty Instagram comments for weeks, which set the rumour mill spinning.

We're kind of obsessed with this real life pairing.
