Georgia Harrison has spoken out and thanked her followers for their support after her ex, Stephen Bear, was recently arrested on suspicion of revenge porn.

Georgia, 26, accused Bear of covertly filming them having sex when they were in a relationship and showing the tape to at least two his friends.

It is also alleged he shared the footage on WhatsApp, and in pictures on his OnlyFans account - though he denies this was Georgia.

Revenge porn was officially made a criminal offence back in 2015, and those responsible can find themselves in jail for up to two years.

While Georgia had shared a teary picture last week amid the news of Bear's arrest, she took to Instagram to write a full statement on Monday, thanking her followers for their support and insisting she is 'staying positive'.

The statement read: "Thank you to everyone that has reached out over the last few days. At this time, I am unable to comment on the recent events due to the ongoing criminal investigation.

"I am passionate about supporting victims of revenge porn and hopefully by coming forward it will give others courage to do the same.

"I have a fantastic team around me including friends, family and colleagues, who are just some of the many reasons I have [been] able to stay positive right now,' the statement continued.

"Again, thank you so much for everyone's love and support - you have no idea how much it means to me. G."

Bear was arrested at Heathrow airport on his birthday, Friday (15th January), after returning from an extended trip to Dubai. He was released on bail less than 24 hours after his arrest.

A spokesperson from Essex Police told The Sun Bear has been granted bail until 10th February.

Reacting to the news on her Instagram, Georgia told fans: "Nothing about current circumstances feels good, even the wins hurt me so so much because as an empath I just see the best in everyone and want the best for everyone.

"Just wanna go back to when everything was simple and there wasn't so much drama".

Georgia first made the allegations against Bear in December, taking to social media to state that she had heard from at least two multiple people who had seen the footage - which she previously did not know existed.

Former Love Island contestant Georgia briefly dated Bear after they both appeared on The Challenge in 2018.

She claimed that he had CCTV around his house, adding that he "purposely got in position where he knew it would be on CCTV" so that he could obtain the covert footage.

"I feel hurt, I feel violated, I feel embarrassed but I also feel like my friends and followers will support me through this and I can't stay silent on the matter any longer," she said at the time, adding that she was speaking out "not just for me but for anyone that has been round there not knowing they are being filmed".

In the past, Bear has vehemently denied the allegations, responding "anyone saying they've seen footage of me and her, now that's complete lies".
