Dita Von Teese, Marilyn Manson's ex-wife, is addressing the accusations of sexual and emotional abuse against the musician.
Dita was in a relationship with Marilyn for seven years and the pair were married from 2005 to 2006.
She shared a statement on Instagram on Wednesday following the accusations raised by Evan Rachel Wood on Monday.

Dita's Instagram statement says that while "the details made public do not match my personal experience", she urges "those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal".
The full statement reads: "I have been processing the news that broke Monday regarding Marilyn Manson. To those who have expressed your concerns of my well-being, I appreciate your kindness," Dita said.
"Please know that the details made public do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple," she continued, explaining that their relationship ended because of "infidelity and drug abuse."

"Had they, I would not have married him in December 2005. I left 12 months later due to infidelity and drug abuse. Abuse of any kind has no place in any relationship. I urge those of you who have incurred abuse to take steps to heal and the strength to fully realize yourself."
"This is my sole statement on this matter. Thank you for respecting this request."
On Monday, Evan posted a statement on Instagram which accused the singer of abuse. They were engaged in 2010 but their relationship ended several months later.
"The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson," she wrote.

"He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.
"I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.
"I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent."
Evan also shared similar stories from photographer Ashley Walters, model Sarah McNeilly, an artist who identified herself only as Gabriella as well as student Ashley Morgan.

Evan has previously spoken out about being a victim of sexual and domestic abuse at the hands of an ex-partner.
In 2018, she testified before a House Judiciary Subcommittee as part of an effort to get the Sexual Assault Survivors Bill of Rights passed in all 50 American states.
"My experience with domestic violence was this: Toxic mental, physical and sexual abuse which started slow but escalated over time, including threats against my life, severe gaslighting and brainwashing, waking up to the man that claimed to love me raping what he believed to be my unconscious body," she told the subcommittee, though she did not name the person at the time.

Marilyn responded to the allegations against him with a brief statement on Instagram.
The shock rocker wrote: "Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.
"My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how - and why - others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth."
