Married At First Sight Australia star Nic Jovanovic has revealed his cancer returned while filming the reality show, but he didn't tell his wife Cyrell Paule about it.
The show filmed in 2019, but Nic didn't address the diagnosis until afterwards, as he didn't want to draw attention to it on screen.
Nic had previously spoken about his first testicular cancer diagnosis on the show, which he experienced when he was just 24.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Nic said he found it emotional watching the series back, as it reminded him of what he was secretly going through.
"It was such a huge blow for me when I found out I had been diagnosed with testicular cancer for a second time," he said.
"We were currently filming the final dinner party and it was a weird feeling, knowing that in the next few days I was going in for surgery to finally beat it."
Since the show, Nic has undergone chemotherapy and even had a teste removed in a bid to eradicate the disease.
"I decided not to bring it up to anyone on the show and didn't want to discuss it with any of the guys at the dinner party because I didn't want anyone to stress about me and what I was about to go through," he added.
Nic now works with charities, including Movember, to encourage other men to check their testicles and catch cancer early.
Thankfully, the reality star says his "heath is great now" and things are looking up after his treatment.
As for him and Cyrell, you things didn't work out quite as well.
Spoiler alert, the couple called it a day towards the end of the experiment, after a string of arguments while filming.
Cyrell went on to date fellow MAFSA finalist, Eden Dally, and the pair now have a baby together. Meanwhile, Nic dated girlfriend Bridgette Lee briefly, but now appears to be single.
