Love Island’s Maura Higgins And Chris Taylor Go Instagram Official With Their Relationship

Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Chris Taylor have finally confirmed that they are an item.

The TV favourites were nothing more than pals on the ITV show, but since leaving the villa, fans have been speculating that sparks have been flying.

Now, Maura has confirmed what everybody was wondering, sharing a loved up picture with Chris in Dubai, and writing: "He's mine," alongside a red love-heart emoji.

And Chris followed with his own post, sharing the same image and writing: "Turns out I fell in love with my best mate".

The image showed the pair moments before a kiss in front of a stunning infinity pool which looked out at the skyline.

Flocking to the comments, both their friends and fans were quick to gush about the new relationship.

"FINALLLLYYYYY!! Love you two," wrote fellow Love Islander Joe Garratt.

Danny Williams, also from the pair's series, wrote: "I'm worried this pic might actually break the internet for real".

Meanwhile, Michael Griffiths replied: "Things you live to see".

It wasn't only Love Islanders that had their say, the one and only Gemma Collins jumped in the congratulate the pair, writing: "I'm so happy for you".

Plus, Jacqueline Jossa wrote: "Thank f*ck", and Vicky Pattinson penned: "AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! I am so buzzing".

The couple set tongues wagging just days ago after sharing a TikTok challenge where they showed off recreation of Crazy, Stupid Love.

But what really got people talking is the fact that when the dance ended the pair appeared to lean in for a kiss.

Recreating the lift performed by Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in the original movie, fans was quick to point out there were rom-com levels of sparks between the duo.

But at the time, the TV couple had not spoken out on their relationship, after previously telling people they were just good friends.

We're so into this pairing. Here's hoping there's way more couple content to come!
