Laura Whitmore has taken to Instagram to confirm that she and husband Iain Stirling, 33, have welcomed their first child.

The Love Island host, 35, first announced she was expecting in December 2020 with a cute snap of a Guns N' Roses themed baby grow.

The announcement today comes after the baby's arrival was leaked through a series of paparazzi pictures on Thursday.

On Friday, Laura posted a picture with their adorable baby confirming the good news.

"Thanks for all the kind messages at this time. We are in love x," she wrote, alongside a selfie with the baby.

It is not known when Laura gave birth but she missed her BBC Radio 5 show on Sunday leading to Stacey Dooley stepping in to cover.

In December, Laura wrote on Instagram: "So I've always tried to be protective over the personal side of my life. A lot of things are just for me and my loved ones and we've chosen not to share publicly.

"However I want to now share good news as it's our news to share - and I'm gonna be honest it's starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control.

"Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021. It's been hard to keep such happy news quiet. Especially the times when I've had to run out of live radio to get sick in a bin or my penchant for a bowl of mashed potato in the morning.

"I wasn't hungover like everyone thought. In fact I was completely sober filming the entire series of Celeb Juice, which is quite the accolade!

"We'd appreciate our privacy respected but just wanted to spread some love and a reminder of the beauty of life."

Iain meanwhile, shared a snap of his Playstation, with a sticky note reading 'I will miss you xxx'.

"Sorry to my old babies but there is a new baby coming early 2021," he wrote.

Laura kept her followers up-to-date with her pregnancy and even shared a collection of behind the scenes snaps from glamorous shoot with Hunger Magazine in December last year, days after she confirmed she was six months pregnant.

Congratulations to Laura and Iain!
