Laura Whitmore Expertly Shuts Down Trolls For Shaming Her Baby Bump Photos

The Love Island presenter hit back at trolls who suggested her baby bump snaps were too racy.

After revealing she was expecting her first child with partner Iain Stirling last week, TV star Laura Whitmore shared a series of glamorous pictures of her baby bump.

Taken for Hunger Magazine, the high fashion snaps show pregnant Laura, 35, in black lingerie and a denim jacket, clutching her blossoming stomach as she debuts it for the first time.

And while the majority of her followers gushed in the comments, celebrating her new arrival, a small selection of trolls decided to criticise the mum-to-be instead for showing too much skin.

We mean, really?!

Referencing the new Tier 4 restrictions being implemented by the government across many areas of the country, Laura captioned her picture: "Guess it's the sofa for the next while so... #tier4life."

But cruelly, one Instagram user replied: "Where's your dignity, girl? Less is more".

Not having any of it, Laura expertly snapped back: "Where's yours?"

Another follower then (unnecessarily) quizzed Laura on why she had decided to have a photoshoot.

To which Laura responded: "Because it's my choice what I show, quite simple really."

And finally, when someone wrote: "You were literally saying two minutes ago that you weren't promoting your pregnancy. Literally bored of it already," the presenter penned: "Looks more like I'm 'promoting' my upcoming sofa use..."

Taking to her Instagram stories, Laura addressed all of the mean comments in a statement, writing: "Thanks for all the love this week.

"To the few people who are offended by a pregnant woman's body and someone taking control of their own narrative, you need to take a hard look at yourself.

"Ask yourself why you choose to put negativity out into the world? Maybe, just maybe, you can change your mindset, become a better person (I do have hope) and make the world a little nicer".

Laura released this statement on her Insta' stories (

She added: "I'm more than happy to use my platform to call out people and will continue to do so. But I also bloody love the community I have here (sometimes the few negatives get more attention than they should!)

We all have a responsibility and I love that I have a voice that I can use and I appreciate so many wonderful folk who do the same to lift others!"

She then shared a video of herself chatting to the one and only Gary Barlow (because, really, what better way to finish?!).

Laura announced the news she was six months pregnant on Instagram last Wednesday, with a cute snap of a baby grow.

She wrote: "So I've always tried to be protective over the personal side of my life. A lot of things are just for me and my loved ones and we've chosen not to share publicly.

"However I want to now share good news as it's our news to share - and I'm gonna be honest it's starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control.

"Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021. It's been hard to keep such happy news quiet. Especially the times when I've had to run out of live radio to get sick in a bin or my penchant for a bowl of mashed potato in the morning.

"I wasn't hungover like everyone thought. In fact I was completely sober filming the entire series of Celeb Juice, which is quite the accolade!

"We'd appreciate our privacy respected but just wanted to spread some love and a reminder of the beauty of life."

Ever the comedian, Iain, meanwhile, shared a snap of his Playstation, with a sticky note reading 'I will miss you xxx'.

"Sorry to my old babies but there is a new baby coming early 2021," he wrote.

We think Laura and her baby bump should carry on posing in whatever she wants.

Here's hoping we look this glam at six months pregnant!
