Katy Perry has proudly showed off her post baby body just five days after giving birth.

The mum-of-one, who recently welcomed daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with actor fiancé Orlando Bloom, poked fun at the fact the 2020 MTV VMA Awards were happening and she wasn't able to attend.

Sharing a picture of herself in a breast bumping bra and a pair of post-partum knickers, with her post baby bump still on show, the singer, 35, teased: "Hair and makeup by: @exhaustion..."

She went on to tag the makers of her bra and underwear, too, as you would with a red carpet gown.

It's not surprising that Katy was lamenting her absence at the VMA's, given that she hosted the show back in 2017.

However, we're sure she was happier to be at home with her baby daughter for company right now.

Orlando, 43, announced they had welcomed little Daisy at the end of August, to the delight of their fans.

Sharing the news via @Unicef's Instagram, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star wrote: "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter."

He added: "As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare.

"In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB's arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child."

Katy announced her pregnancy back in March during her 'Never Worn White' music video back in March, before confirming the news on Instagram, during a live stream.

"I am excited, we're excited, and happy. It's probably the longest secret I've ever had to keep," she told her fans at the time.

She has been super open about her pregnancy journey to motherhood since making the announcement, even letting fans in on the fact she'd been suffering "waves of depression" throughout.

"Sometimes I don't know what's worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm [sic]," she told her 108.5 million followers, back in May.

While taking part in SHEIN's Together live-stream event recently, Katy added that she had "good days" and harder ones, "where I cry when I look down at my toes or I cry when just doing simple tasks."

"I think a lot of that is hormonal and I'm not used to being around so many people all in a confined [or] a small space for so long. I'm used to going [out] all the time," she continued.

"There is not really anywhere to go besides my car. So I go to my car a lot. That is my safe space."

We don't know about you, but we're finding it so refreshing to see someone be so honest about pregnancy and motherhood.

Oh, and BTW Katy, you look great!
