Katie Price's son Harvey is in intensive care, the star has revealed.
The former glamour model turned reality TV star broke the sad news on her Twitter and Instagram accounts last night.
The statement read: "I can confirm that Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands.
"I would like to thank the ambulance services and the hospital staff for the quick response and making him stable."
In an earlier statement, a representative for Katie said that the 18-year-old had been rushed into hospital with a high temperature and struggling to breathe.
The spokesperson told The Sun that Harvey had been rushed into hospital by ambulance after his temperature rose to 42 degrees.
Harvey, the star's son with footballer Dwight Yorke, has Prader-Willi syndrome and autism.
Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic condition that can cause "a wide range of physical symptoms, learning difficulties and behavioural problems," according to the NHS website.
The condition itself is not life threatening, but symptoms also include an excessive appetite and overeating, which can then lead to type 2 diabetes, heart failure and respiratory difficulties.
Earlier this month, the BBC announced a new documentary, Katie Price: Harvey and Me, between the mother and son.
In a press release, the channel announced an "unflinching and deeply personal one-off film in which Katie will open up about what it's really like to be a mum of a disabled child approaching adulthood."
"Now he is 18, I have to start making vital decisions that will impact Harvey's future that are different for most other parents," Katie said.
Harvey is the eldest of Katie's children. She is also mum to Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, six and Bunny, five.
Both Junior and Princess shared their well wishes for their older brother on Instagram, with Junior posting, "Love you big bro" and Princess adding, "I love you Harv so much".
Get well soon Harvey!
