Kate Garraway has just shared a heartbreaking update on her husband Derek Draper's condition - revealing he may have to live with "minimum consciousness" for years.
The TV host, 53, revealed her husband had come out of his Covid-19 induced coma after 98 days in hospital recently, but added that he still had a long road to recovery ahead.
Speaking during an interview with Hello! magazine, Kate said: "We're keeping positive and doing everything we can to bring him round.

"The children and I communicate with him every day on FaceTime, while a nurse holds his iPad.
"I really believe he can hear. When medical staff say, 'Good morning, Derek!', he sometimes opens his eyes. We and the doctors are doing everything we can so that he can start to recover."
As Derek was admitted to hospital, Kate took a step away from work commitments to focus on his welfare.

"I have been living at the end of the phone 24/7, waiting for news of Derek," Kate added.
"But the doctors have warned that his condition could persist for years so I have to get on with life whilst we are waiting for him to get better."
"Whatever happens next I'm afraid it is going to be a long road, with an uncertain end that isn't even nearly in sight right now," she wrote on Instagram.

"But this week I am refocusing on hope that as a family we are going to pull together with the support of friends and get through everything come what may."
Former Labour adviser Derek, 52, was admitted into hospital on March 30th, and there he tested positive for coronavirus.
Four days later his condition worsened, and he was admitted into intensive care.
