'Inspirational' Jess Glynne Removes Her Make-Up During BRITS Performance
Jess Glynne was branded an "inspiration" by BRITS viewers last night, as she powerfully removed her make-up mid-performance.
As she took took to the stage to sing new track 'Thursday', the popstar began to take off all of her glam with a reusable face pad with a legion of other women doing exactly the same being projected onto the screens behind.
"I won't wear make-up on Thursday, 'Cause who I am is enough," Jess sang in the hit single while wearing a strapless white gown paired with simple trainers.
And sitting in front of a ring light, Jess removed her make-up in-sync with the other women, also dressed in white, using facecloths and mirrors.
Jess was joined by Grammy Award-winning singer H.E.R half way through the performance, and the scenes made a powerful statement to unrealistic beauty standards set for women.
Special moments like that make it all worth it :) Go watch my full @BRITs performance back if you missed it #brits2019

@JessGlynne It really is possible to be taken seriously as a female artist without make up and without various body parts hanging outside of your clothes. Thank you for being a positive role model for my daughters. #BRITS2019 #equality #empoweringwomen
