'Harry' Potter Star Robbie Coltrane Now Using A Wheelchair Following Osteoarthritis Diagnosis
Robbie Coltrane, best known for his role as groundskeeper Rubeus Hagrid in the Harry Potter film franchise, was pictured for the first time using his wheelchair.
The Scottish actor, 68, battles with osteoarthritis which gives him excruciating pain and leaves him unable to walk.
Robbie will soon undergo surgery in the US to repair his joint to help relieve the pain.

So while I still can't share details on the Hagrid coaster (12:30pm) I can say I was incredibly lucky to see the man himself, Robbie Coltrane! pic.twitter.com/RU5DCQHuxD- Ryan Ogilvie (@ryanogs) March 12, 2019
The Harry Potter star turned out for the launch of Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike ride in Universal Orlando, hosted at London's St Pancras Renaissance Hotel on Monday.
He could also be seen holding a cane, which he previously used to help him walk, in his hands as he sat in his chair.
Robbie was in good spirits throughout the evening and touched on his health issues, explaining that he was getting a 'new knee'.

And once the surgery is completed, Robbie hopes to be "leaping around like an elf".
"Robbie has been in constant pain for years now, with his knee constantly deteriorating," a source told The Sun of the actor's osteoarthritis battle.
"He was wheeled in and out of the Harry Potter event on Monday which came as a big shock to fans given they're so used to seeing him standing strong and tall as Hagrid."
They added: "It's hugely frustrating for him but he's really hoping to be back on his feet after getting the operation."
In 2016, Robbie spoke openly and candidly about his battle with osteoarthritis. Shortly after his diagnosis, the beloved Harry Potter actor told how he was in "constant pain all day".
"I'm in constant pain all day," he said. "I had an exploratory operation and they discovered I had no cartilage left in one of my knees. It's completely disintegrated."
Robbie added: "People are probably wondering why I'm hobbling about in the way I am and that is why."
