Lea Michele Shares First Picture Of Baby Son After Giving Birth

Glee star Lea Michele and husband Zandy Reich have shared the first picture of their baby.

The 33-year-old gave birth to a baby boy named Ever Leo on 20th August, with a source telling People: "Everyone's happy and healthy, and they're extremely grateful.

"He's been an easy baby so far."

Now, a week on, she's shared a picture of the little'n on her Instagram.

Posting a snap of both her and Zandy's hands clutching his little foot, she wrote: "Forever grateful for this true blessing".

Ever is an American name meaning 'always', FYI, while Leo is Italian for 'lion' and references Ever's birth sign.

Lea announced her pregnancy back on 2nd May.

Showing off her blooming baby bump in a stunning blue maxi dress, the screen star shared her pregnancy news with her 6.3 million followers.

"So grateful," Lea wrote in her caption, alongside a yellow heart emoji.

The couple wed in March 2019 following two years of dating, tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Northern California.

They told People at the time: "We are so excited to be married and grateful to be surrounded by our friends and family.

"And most of all, we're so happy to spend the rest of our lives together."

Lea - who rose to fame in Glee as the lead female role Rachel Berry - initially hinted that she wanted to press pause on having children in order to concentrate on her acting career.

In a previous interview with US Weekly, she said: "I'm still playing roles that are under 21, so I kind of want to push that as long as I can.

"Having a baby might mess that up for me."

But life clearly had other plans, with Lea falling pregnant not long after getting hitched.

Tragedy struck in the midst of her pregnancy with the untimely death of the Glee actress's former co-star Naya Rivera at 33 in July.

Naya was reported missing on 8th July after hiring a pontoon boat on Lake Piru and heading out on the water with her four-year-old son Josey.

Josey was later found in the boat asleep by himself, along with Naya's life jacket, ID and purse.

The actress' body was later discovered, with the cause of death confirmed to be drowning.

Naya was laid to rest on 24th July at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.
