TV chef and personality Gino D'Acampo has landed a role in upcoming Disney film, Luca.

Making his film debut, Gino will play a priest named called Eugenio (who he has actually renamed Gino!) in the upcoming film.

Congrats, Gino!

You can watch a clip of Gino below:

Announcing the news on Twitter, Gino, 44 wrote: "Ciao guys, I am super excited to announce my cameo role in the new Disney Pixar film Luca. Meet Eugenio The Priest!

"It's an honour to join the world of Disney, especially in a film that reminds me of my summers in Italy."

And Gino also spoke about the challenges of working in the movie industry, comparing it to his usual gig of cooking up delicious food for guests.

"I think it's easier to cook for a wedding of 50 people than do five lines on a movie like this," he said.

"But it's good. Happy. Super happy."

Luca is a coming-of-age story and centres around friends Luca and Alberto, who have an action packed summer on the Italian Riviera. However, they are hiding a secret - they're actually sea monsters from a mysterious underwater world!

The official synopsis explains: "Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar's original feature film Luca is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides.

"... But all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water's surface."

Also starring in the movie is Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer and Maya Rudolph.

Speaking about the new addition, director Enrico Casarosa said in a statement: "It's wonderful to be able to add local voices in cameo roles in our films - and Gino had a lot of fun doing it.

"I think UK audiences will be thrilled to hear a familiar voice in the role and we can't wait to share Luca with them this month."

The film will arrive on Disney+ on 18th June. We can't wait to see Gino in action!
