Meghan Markle fans were left confused after the Duchess appeared to have a 'softer voice' during her interview on new ITV documentary Queen of the World.

The 37-year-old was reunited with her wedding dress in last nights episode but the reunion wasn't the only talking point.

Some viewers were distracted by the royal's voice as she seemed to have lost a bit of her Californian accent.

Meghan was born in Los Angeles but moved to Toronto, Canada while she filmed US legal drama Suits.

Other's speculated whether Meghan had taken part in vocal training to help her fit in with her husband's family.

One social media user wrote: "#QueenOfTheWorld Meghan has had voice coaching, she seems much softer, bit like how Kates changed too[sic]."

Another added: "Meghan is losing her American accent."

During the interview Meghan also revealed what she had as her 'something blue' for her wedding to Prince Harry.

Meghan revealed that she had a piece of fabric from the dress she wore on her and Harry's first date stitched into her gown.

Brides traditionally collect something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue to bring them good luck on their big day.

Meghan said: "Somewhere in here there's a piece of blue fabric stitched inside. It was my something blue. It's fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date."

However, she didn't reveal what she chose for her something borrowed, something old and something new, although there's no doubting that they would have been just as sentimental.

The Duchess also revealed that she didn't see her veil until her big day, and that Givenchy dress designer Clare Waight Keller embroidered her veil with flowers from each of the 53 Commonwealth nations.

Meghan said: "I knew that it would be a fun surprise as well for my now husband, who didn't know, and he was really over the moon to find out that I would make this choice for our day together.

"And I think the other members of the family had a similar reaction, and just appreciation for the fact that we understand how important this is for us and the role that we play."
