Daisy May Cooper responded in the best way when a nasty social media troll started slating her appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox recently.

The This Country star was making a guest appearance on the Channel 4 telly-watching show, alongside her dad Paul, when one online bully felt the need to tweet: "Watching #celebritygogglebox and daisey may cooper looks like a TROLL."

However, Daisy clapped back in true comedy queen style, sharing the tweet in a video on her Instagram page, alongside footage of herself dancing to the Trolls 2 remake of Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' - which features the lyrics "trolls just wanna have fun".

Take a look at her in action here:

Daisy captioned the vid: "Haters gonna hate but I'm gonna carry on letting my hooters swing."

Ah, what a Queen. We aspire to give as few f*cks as her.

It wasn't long before she was flooded with support from celebrity pals and fans alike, all telling her to ignore the haters and keep being herself.

"Shame people are d*cks. You are QUEEN," wrote Ferne Cotton in the comments.

Meanwhile, singer Ellie Goulding gushed: "We love you, don't change !"

During her Gogglebox appearance, Daisy sat down on the sofa to watch the likes of Celebrity Masterchef, Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back, The Supervet: Noel Fitzpatrick and not forgetting Channel 4 and ITV News.

Daisy fans will know the star has been providing us with all the lockdown laughs after she started a 'love affair' with an Instagram troll posing as a sea captain.

It all started when the sea captain slid into her DMs. And as a laugh (and with some encouragement from followers) Daisy decided to reply and play the catfish at his own game.
