Charlotte Dawson has been left horrified after a troll said they were "praying" for the pregnant star to "have a stillbirth."

The 28-year-old is expecting her first child with partner Matthew Sarsfield, and has been showing off her burgeoning baby bump in a series of snaps on Instagram.

After posing for a photo in front of her Christmas tree, Charlotte, whose little one is due to arrive in February, was left "disgusted" when someone commented: "Let's pray for a stillbirth."

Naturally, the Ex On The Beach star was so affronted by the remark that she chose to screenshot the post and share it on her Instagram Stories.

"Comments in my post like this, what the actual f***?" she wrote. "Disgusting."

The remark was all the more painful for Charlotte, who then revealed that her mother had previously experienced a stillbirth.

Taking to her Instagram Stories once more, she thanked her fans for their messages of support following the vile comment.

Check out the moment below:

"What really annoyed me about that comment is that my mum has actually been through that so I've lost a brother and what these trolls don't realise when they make these horrible comments is that we've been through that as a family," Charlotte said.

"Obviously I wasn't here when that happened, but people are so wrong, it's disgusting."

It's not the first time Charlotte has been on the receiving end of internet trolling.

The reality TV star was forced to take a break from social media after she faced a barrage of hurtful comments.

In a post from last month, she wrote: "'I need a little break off here. I'm sick of the negativeness I'm getting.

"There's some awful comments, people hiding behind fake accounts and messages I'm receiving. I used to be able to handle it but being pregnant it gets you down.

"In the meantime I want to help people at the foodbanks etc, please if anyone knows more info send me on here... and also if anyone is raising money and helping. Send me the links."
