Charlotte Dawson Announces She's Pregnant

Celebs Go Dating star Charlotte Dawson has announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Matthew Sarsfield.

The 27-year-old daughter of late comedian Les Dawson is due to welcome her baby just one week before the date of her dad's 90th birthday.

Charlotte lost her dad when she was just eight months old when he tragically died of a heart attack.

The reality star told OK!: "I might have liked to go out and have a good time, but I know I'm going to be an amazing mum and will do anything for my baby."

She continued: "There's every chance I could give birth on his birthday. What a tribute that would be!"

Charlotte and rugby player Matthew have been together for four years and the relationship has had its fair share of drama.

The duo made an appearance on Celebs Go Dating and addressed their issues in couples therapy sessions.

The family have been through a lot. In June, Charlotte's brother-in-law Glen died by suicide after struggling to come to terms with the loss of his mother, who passed away from coronavirus.

Writing a tribute on Instagram, a devastated Charlotte wrote: "I can't even believe I'm writing this... I feel sick. My beautiful sister @sammysuns & our family had the most devastating thing happen to us on Saturday morning.

"A family man, the best husband, father & brother in law we could of asked for sadly passed away unexpectedly taking his own life leaving all of us heartbroken especially my sister, his brave daughter @jesssouthernx and my baby niece & nephew who were his complete world, which breaks my heart.

"I promise to look after them forever my cherubs. We all don't understand and will never know why. However i'm trying to stay strong for my family and thought that I'd make a GoFundMe page that would help support them as this came as such a shock and knocked us all.

"We appreciate you reading it & would be grateful for any support. I've linked the page on my story, thank you so much️ You genuinely don't know what's going through someone's head, no matter how happy they look... it's terrifying. Please everyone always be kind."

Charlotte's pregnancy will come as some much-deserved happy news for all the family.

Matthew said: "We're both ready for this next chapter. We've got a house and we've been together for four years. It feels right."
