Charlotte Dawson has given birth to a little boy, it has now been confirmed.

The reality star announced on social media that she had gone into labour at 4.30am this morning, with her fiancé, Matthew Sarsfield, sharing a picture and videos with fans as he took them with them on the journey.

Now, the couple have officially welcomed their newborn - with Matt confirming the news on his own social media.

"Baby and mum doing well! Thanks for all messages," Matt wrote alongside a blue love heart emoji.

He later shared a video of the baby in an adorable blue baby-gro writing: "The King is here".

We're so happy for them both!

It comes after Charlotte re-shared one of Matt's pictures on her Insta' story in the morning, which showed her in a hospital bed, while he grinned in a coronavirus mask alongside her.

"We're all set ready for our little man!," he wrote.

"Charlotte's waters broke at 4.30, so proud of my girl @charlottedawsy she's a trooper."

Charlotte wrote: "I did it @matt_sarsfield. Just in labour my darlings. I can't believe i did most of it at home.. but thank you for all your msgs love you all X".

Matt later shared a snap of Charlotte mid contraction, writing: "Ready to rumble. Come on little man".

The little'n is just a day late - his due date was yesterday.

On her Insta stories, Charlotte told fans it was "just like her" to be late, adding that she was doing everything she could to give birth naturally - from eating pineapple to extra hot spicy Nando's to 'nipple stimulation', which she had heard was effective.

"Matthew's in for a right good night," she joked. "It's the most action he'll get all year."

While chatting on her Stories, Charlotte added that after visiting her midwife in hospital she'd been informed her child would have to be induced on Tuesday (today) if he didn't arrive naturally - something she wasn't keen to do.

Luckily, just hours later Charlotte's waters broke, and she went into labour at home, before heading to hospital for the birth itself.

Charlotte and Matt are yet to announce the name of their new arrival, or share a picture of his face.

However, the fact he is an Aquarius star sign, like his grandfather - Charlotte's dad, legendary comedian Les Dawson - is something the reality star says is "really special" to her.

She had previously claimed she wanted to delay labour until her dad's birthday, on February 2nd, but later accepted this would not be possible.

Charlotte announced she was pregnant in August - one month before the pair announced their engagement.

Matthew proposed to Charlotte in last September, sweetly getting down on one knee outside a statue of comic Les at Memorial Park in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

Congrats to Matthew and Charlotte! We're so happy for these two.
