Ex On The Beach star Ashley Cain's daughter Azaylia was put on oxygen last night to help her sleep 'comfortably' after returning home from hospital.

The eight-month-old - who has a rare form of acute myeloid leukaemia, and is expected to have just days to live - was "struggling" after arriving home from hospital on Wednesday, where she'd had another platelet transfusion.

Azaylia had originally been rushed to hospital because her heart rate spiked to over 200.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday evening, Azaylia's mother Safiyya Vorajee told fans: "Really really exhausting night last night. We didn't get much sleep at all, probably haven't had much sleep in the last few weeks.

"As you can see, Azaylia is on oxygen at the moment. Her breathing is a little bit more intense.

"She is struggling a little bit so we're giving her oxygen just to help her sleep more comfortably."

She added: "She's not had an uncomfortable day today, she's been very comfortable and quite sleepy. Hopefully later on she wakes up and we can have some playtime".

It comes after thousands of supporters have backed a call for little fighter Azaylia to be nominated for a Pride Of Britain award.

Nominations for Pride of Britain 2021 are currently open and those who have followed her story have been flocking to put Ashley, Saffiya and little Azaylia forward.

The awards are intended to celebrate amazing individuals across the country.

And the push to nominate Azaylia started after it was suggested in The Azaylia Diamond Cain Journey To Fight Acute Myeloid Leukaemia Facebook page, which has 136.9K members.

Fans and celebrity pals alike have been rallying round Azaylia for months, as Ashley and Saffiya have continued to publicly share their journey.

A Clap For Azaylia was also launched on Tuesday night, as a way to honour the little one, and show support for Ashley and Saffiya in their time of need.

As well as the general public, stars including Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch, Stacey Solomon, Charlotte Dawson and Mrs Hinch all took to their doorsteps to honour her at 7pm.

Speaking on the clap, Charlotte told followers: "Being a new mum it's been so hard, I'm holding onto Noah that much tighter. I pray for a miracle I really do, we're all behind you Azaylia and family... in my thoughts every second of the day. Xxx(sic)".

Azaylia was meant to return from hospital for good last Friday to be made 'comfortable' in her final days, following the tragic news that her cancer had progressed too much for any more treatment.

However, she's sadly been going back and forward ever since. Prior to Wednesday's visit, she went back on Tuesday to have another platelet transfusion, after her condition deteriorated to the point where she was crying tears of blood.

Explaining his daughter's bleeding, Ashley previously told fans: "She's got tumours in her head and organs. And because of her blood cancer it means that it eats away at the cells that help clot the blood."

Reality TV favourite Ashley and Safiyya had been hoping to take their daughter to Singapore to undergo lifesaving CAR T-cell therapy for her leukaemia, even fundraising over £1.5 million from generous fans to make the trip.

But they were recently dealt a devastating blow, and told by the hospital that the treatment was no longer an option, because her cancer was so rare.

"We're gonna be strong, and we're gonna go out with honour," he said as he updated supporters on the gut-wrenching news.

The grieving dad added that he was going to try and put on a brave face because his daughter "needs to see daddy smiling".

We're so sorry for Ashley, Safiyya and little Azaylia. Keep fighting, champ.
