Ashley Cain's daughter Azaylia ate proper food last night for the first time in two weeks as she continues to battle leukaemia.

The Ex On The Beach star's partner, Safiyya Vorajee - who is mum to Azaylia - shared sweet a video of the eight-month-old on her Instagram, writing: "We have Azaylia's grandma here and she has just made some dinner for me and look who's eaten her greens?"

Posting another video, Safiyya added: "She has just had so much fun with my dinner and it's the first time she's eaten in about two weeks. She amazes me."

Ashley and Safiyya's loved ones have been close by throughout Azaylia's health battle, spending time with the little one in what doctors think will be her final few days.

Recently, Ashley shared an emotional thank you to his mother Vicky and sister Alissia for their support.

"These two people have been here right from the start," he wrote alongside a picture of the duo.

"Cooking food and washing clothes while we were in hospital, standing outside for hours every day doing window visits while we were at home.

Being a rock for me and my partner throughout this journey. Now visiting every day to make it more homely and help us out with the care of Azaylia.

"No task has been too big and the selflessness of these two people is incredible. My mum and my sister, Azaylia's grandma and auntie.

"Two amazing people that always keep behind the scenes but are always at the front in our times of need."

Poor Azaylia has a rare form of acute myeloid leukaemia - which is a type of blood cancer - and is expected to have just days to live after doctors told the couple they couldn't do anything more to save her.

Reality TV favourite Ashley and Safiyya had been hoping to take their daughter to Singapore to undergo lifesaving CAR T-cell therapy for her leukaemia, even fundraising over £1.5 million from generous fans to make the trip.

But they were recently dealt a devastating blow, and told by the hospital that the treatment was no longer an option, because her cancer was so rare.

She was meant to return from hospital for good last Friday to be made 'comfortable' in her final days, following the tragic news that her cancer had progressed too much for any more treatment in the UK, either.

However, she's sadly been going back and forward ever since. She was put on oxygen on Wednesday to help her sleep comfortably, after a hospital dash in the early hours of the morning.

At the time, her mother, Safiyya admitted her daughter was "struggling".

Prior to Wednesday's visit, she had also visited the hospital to have another platelet transfusion, after her condition deteriorated to the point where she was crying tears of blood.

Explaining his daughter's bleeding, Ashley previously told fans: "She's got tumours in her head and organs. And because of her blood cancer it means that it eats away at the cells that help clot the blood."

Supporters and celebrity pals alike have been rallying round Azaylia for months, as Ashley and Safiyya have continued to publicly share their journey.

And recently, thousands of people have backed a call for little fighter Azaylia to be nominated for a Pride Of Britain award - gongs intended to celebrate amazing individuals across the country.

Nominations for Pride of Britain 2021 are currently open and those who have been touched by her story have been flocking to put Ashley, Safiyya and little Azaylia forward.

In response to all the nominations, the official Pride Of Britain Instagram account shared a post on Thursday night, dubbing Azaylia and her parents 'an inspiration'.

"Sending love and support to Azaylia's family. Your strength and courage is an inspiration #ourprideofbritain @mrashleycain @miss_safiyya_," it wrote.

Keep fighting, champ.
