At Least Five More Bodies Discovered During Search For Brian Laundrie

At least five bodies have been discovered during the search for Brian Laundrie, authorities in the US have revealed.

At least five bodies have been discovered during the search for Brian Laundrie, authorities in the US have revealed.

The bodies have been found throughout the last month, while police have desperately been searching for Laundrie, who is a person of interest in the Gabby Petitio case.

Last month, the body of Robert 'Bob' Lowery, aged 46, was found on the Black Canyon Trail, not far from where Gabby was found. It is believed he died by self-inflicted gunshot.

Meanwhile, a body was discovered at a Walmart in Alabama on 20th September. The body was later identified to be a homeless man.

Earlier this month, the body of 55 year-old Sara Bayard was discovered in Colorado. On the same day, 33-year-old Josue Calderon was found in North Carolina. It is believed that Josue had been stabbed to death.

Another body was also found in Yucca Valley dessert while searching for Lauren ‘El’ Cho, aged 30. It is not confirmed that the body is that of Lauren, who has been missing since the end of June.

The most recent body to be found was that of 22-year-old Emily Ferlazzo. The circumstances around her death are eerily similar to some of the circumstances surrounding Gabby's disappearance.

Emily was reported missing by her parents after her husband returned home without her. The couple had been living in a renovated bus and had driven to Vermont to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Police located the vehicle and found human remains.

During the investigation of Gabby's death, some people started to link the case to another murder that had taken place in an area that Gabby and Laundrie had visited.

Married couple Kylen Schulte and Crystal Turner are believed to have been killed mid-August.

Shortly before their death, the women had texted friends about a man who had been reportedly 'creeping them out' while camping near Moab.

Although police have said there is no connection, one private investigator, Jason Jensen, has not ruled it out.

On Wednesday, there was also a development in the search for Laundrie.

FBI special agent Michael McPherson confirmed that human remains and personal items were found and the items are believed to have belonged to Laundrie, 23. The remains have not been confirmed as Laundrie's.

"Earlier today, we found what appears to be human remains along with personal items including a backpack and a notebook which appeared to belong to Mr. Laundrie," he said at a press conference.

"These items were found in an area which up until recently had been underwater.

"It's likely the team will be on the scene for several days."
