A mum who has said she's 'addicted to tattoos' and is covered head to toe in them has said she can't get a job and has even been turned away from tattoo parlours.

46-year-old Melissa Sloan, from Wales, says she's lost count of how many times she's been inked because she's just had so many tattoos.

Some tattoo artists have now closed their doors to her as they've refused to do further work on her face.

She told the Daily Star that some of them 'won't let me in', saying she thinks it's because they reckon she's 'beyond help because I've gone too far'.

It's not been the case everywhere, as she revealed that some tattoo artists have even contacted her offering her the chance to get into their chair.

The tattooed mum says some artists have turned her away.

Melissa started getting tattoos at the age of 20 and hasn't really stopped since then, with some designs being done over and over again with new layers of ink.

Some of Melissa's tattoos include spider webs, Playboy bunny symbols, marijuana leaves, roses, and the England flag - to name a few.

Even if tattoo artists are turning her away, she's not without the ability to get more ink done as she has her own tattoo gun which she takes with her in the boot of her car.

Her boyfriend has also done many of her designs for her, with the mum describing getting new ink from him as 'prison style'.

On the downside, all those tattoos mean she hasn't been able to get a job for yonks, saying 'they won't have me' whenever she tries to apply for something.

She said potential employers have turned her down because of her tattoos.

The tattoo addict claims when she applies for jobs she's sometimes told that her distinctive appearance would be a 'problem'.

She said: "I applied for a job cleaning toilets where I live and they won’t have me because of my tattoos.

"The first job I had was cleaning ages ago, cleaning toilets. People have said I have never have had a job in my life, I have had one once and it didn’t last long."

She said if someone did offer her a job she'd take it, though she reckons there's one gig in particular she'd be great at.

"I’d love to be a solicitor or a lawyer in crime because I always used to be in trouble with the police myself. So I think I could do that job," she said.
