Still searching for the perfect spot for your next holiday? Well look no further than Quinta da Bela Vista in Madeira as it was named the 'best boutique hotel in Europe'.

The breath-taking five-star hotel over looks Funchal Bay on the Portuguese island and offers jaw-dropping views of the Atlantic Ocean that will have guests feeling relaxed in an instant.

But should guests get tired of relaxing, Quinta da Bela Vista residents can visit the hotel's games room or dine at one of their two restaurants after visiting the snack bar and three swimming pool bars during the day.

The hotel has thought of all its guests needs as a complementary shuttle bus, which brings visitors to Downtown Funchal, is included in the stay should they want to explore more than the hotel and its elegant surroundings.

It's no wonder that the resort beat off stiff competition from like Dukes London, Hotel d'Angleterre Geneva and Kivotos Mykonos to claim Europe's Leading Boutique Hotel at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2019 last month.

Reflecting on their recent win, the hotel's general manager Gonçalo de Ornelas Monteiro told Pretty52 how "proud" he and the hotel's staff were to nab travel honour.

"It's a credit to the entire Quinta Bela Vista team and an honour that has encouraged us to keep on improving," he shared.

And while the team behind the hotel strive to keep up their award-winning standards, former guests have no complaints and have raved about the resort's great service and food.

One guest gushed on TripAdvisor: "This hotel has everything, set in beautiful gardens with a lovely pool and the rooms are well appointed with everything you need for your comfort...
