Thailand's varied and stunning landscape and array of wildlife in jungle areas has long been alluring, but now the country also offers the chance to stay in unique bubble pods right alongside elephants.
The Anantara Golden Triangle Camp & Resort in Chiang Rai last month opened up see-through pods, that will give guests a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend the night in the jungle and catch a glimpse of majestic elephants.

There are just two pods located in the jungle which are perched on wooden decks, allowing you uninterrupted views of elephants, as well as the stars by night. It sounds like something out of a fairytale.
The resort itself is set in Northern Thailand's ancient jungle and overlooks the Mekong and Ruak rivers and because it is set high up and on the border of Thailand, you will be able to see into both Laos and Myanmar.
The jungle bubbles aren't basic either, they are well-appointed with air-conditioning (you are going to need it in the humidity of Thailand), a bedroom and living space complete with king size bed and seating area, and of course a shower and toilet.

Not to worry though, the bathroom area is non-transparent so the pod next door won't be able to catch a glimpse of you in your birthday suit.
Also included will be fluffy bathrobes and slippers, as well as home comforts from a hair dryer to a vanity mirror.
This is glamping at its finest.
So naturally it's not the cheapest experience, but one we think will be worth every penny.

The pods start at 17,000 Thai Baht (£442) per night for two people, but that includes a dinner basket, a fully stocked mini bar, 24-hour in-room dining service as well as tea and coffee facilities.
Certainly an incredible treat for one night - sounds like the ideal honeymoon spot to us!
