Forget hotel rooms with a pool view, for your next getaway you could be sleeping right next door to real life lions. Now that's a view.

You won't just sleep near their pen either, your beautiful lodge will see you cooking your dinner and even bathing next to huge picture windows that look directly into the fields containing a pride of lions.

The luxury five star accommodation, the Lion Lodge, resides within the Port Lymne Hotel and Reserve in Kent and it is a world first, allowing brave guests to catch a glimpse of the five predators who live at the 600-acre wildlife reserve.

The accommodation is a loft style building that comes complete with a huge open fire. You'll also find wood-heated Scandinavian outdoor baths on secluded platforms where you can catch a glimpse of the animals - imagine the Instagram snap.

The lodges start from £1750 per night. (

Don't worry though you won't become a tasty midnight snack as the cats can't get to you.

The king-size master suite in each accommodation offers a prime view of the lions - Adras, Oudrika and their three adorable cubs, Khari, Binti and Kulinda - while a spiral staircase leads up to a mezzanine level with two single beds.

The timber clad lodge also boasts a chic wet room with monsoon shower, bespoke bar, a six-foot chandelier and a private terrace and gardens - talk about the lap of luxury.

Naturally, with luxury comes a hefty price tag. Brace yourselves. From £1750, the lodge could be yours for the night.

Included in the price is breakfast and the chance to explore the park in a golf buggy in your own time, or take an afternoon safari.

We know you can't put a price on an adventure like this, but still, ouch!

The exciting new experience comes after the success of a similar venture at the reserve, Tiger Lodge, which is similar but with fabulous tigers potentially peeping at your window instead.

And they aren't the only experiences the park offers. There are options to stay near the bears, giraffes, wolves and rhinos too!
