Closely behind saying their ex's name in bed and finding out they order boiled potatoes as a side dish, discovering your partner hates dogs has to be one of the biggest mood killers in a relationship.
To avoid this sticky subject altogether, there's actually an app that will pair you with other dog lovers.
Dig - described as the "dog person's dating app" - pairs dog lovers with like-minded fans of the furry creatures, meaning you'll never have to dump someone who tells you they're a cat person ever again.

Your Dig profile looks much like a normal dating profile - as long as it's photos with you and your dog.
Much like most apps, you can enter all of your 'vitals' like your age and job, but also those of your dog, such as their breed and personality traits.
Each day, the app presents users with five potential dates and they can decide whether they "dig," "really dig," or "pass" on the matches.

Once matched, Dig will even suggest dog-friendly locations nearby to go on dates!
Dig says: "Do you live a dog-forward lifestyle? You're like us if you're always looking for ways to get dogs in your life, you'll linger near the dog park's fence, and you repeatedly offer to dog-sit while your friends are away.
"If you're lucky enough to own a pup, you know that things never work out with someone if they're not as in to your dog as you are. Dig is a dating app built to connect dog people based on what's most important to us."

The app was created by sister founders Leigh and Casey Isaacson, who recently created Tabby, the sister-app for cat lovers (because you can only be one or the other, obvs).
You can download Dig on the iOS or Android app stores now.
Happy dating, dog lovers!
