School Girl Bleeds In Class After Being Denied Toilet Break

School Girl Bleeds In Class After Being Denied Toilet Break

Her mum says this happened on the first day of school.

A mother has shared on Twitter how her daughter was told she couldn’t use the bathroom during a lesson which led to her bleeding in class.

Aprill tweeted to her followers about the incident: “How about our daughter is on her cycle and when she asked the teacher to use the restroom, that sorry b*tch told her no. And let her bleed all over the place.

"I have to go sort something cause I really want to beat her a**."

"Happy first day of school!!!!”

People were shocked to hear about what had happened to Aprill’s daughter and proceeded to show their support.

One person replied to the tweet, explaining that they would encourage the child to go to the bathroom anyway if they needed it. “It’s ridiculous because no where else in the adult world are you denied bathroom privileges. i’m telling my kid if they need to use the restroom and the teacher says no, go anyway and tell them to call me if it’s an issue," they wrote.

The tweet has received dozens of supportive replies (

Another Twitter user shared how their parents had given them similar advice: “This happened to me when I was younger and I told my mother.

“She told me if they refused to let me go then I have permission to walk out and go to restroom and they can call and deal with her. Lol my mama ain’t play”.

The tweet has even changed the behaviour of some of the people that read it. One person wrote: “I’m sorry your daughter had to go through this. This thread has really broadened my thoughts around bathrooms in schools and I’ll definitely be adjusting my practice because of it”.

Someone else offered some different advice from disobeying a teacher and said: “This was a terrible circumstance but instead of walking out, perhaps pass the teacher a note explaining your need. This is private & gives the teacher insight to make a different decision.”

After speaking to the school, Aprill tweeted: “The principal and I had a conversation. She was empathetic. Profusely apologized and said that it is always better to let a child go to the bathroom than to say no.

“We ended with her passing her personal number on to me. It was a nice conversation but I don’t work like that.”
