Girl Goes School Looking Like A Tomato After Elf On The Shelf Put Lipstick All Over Her Face

A little girl was given an impromptu make-over after a naughty Elf on the Shelf covered her face in long-lasting lipstick which her mum struggled to wipe off.

Thienna Huish, six, from Minehead, Somerset, stood in shock when she realised the elf, named Chicken, left her face covered in the bright red lipstick while she was asleep.

The cheeky elf also left a message on the bathroom mirror which blamed the youngster for the mess, reading: "Thienna done it, not Chicken".

It's an actual Christmas mystery!

Thienna's mum Claire, 35, cleverly orchestrates daily elf antics. She said: "I went out for the evening but when I came back realised the elves hadn't set up their prank yet.

"All of my makeup was out and everyone else was fast asleep, so I had to think quickly and picked up a lipstick to draw on Thienna with.

"I accidentally put a bit too much on because it was hard to see in the dark so the elf went a bit crazy.

"I didn't realise until the morning how much I'd used. I felt really bad because I didn't realise I was using a 24-hour long-lasting lipstick.

"I had to use so many face wipes to try and get it off but she still looked like a tomato.

"But I found it absolutely hilarious even though it might sound awful. Sometimes I think I love the elves more than Thienna does."

The family welcomed their Elf on the Shelf three years ago to keep the Christmas spirit alive for Thienna, who is such a heavy sleeper that she does not wake up when the mischievous elves are doing pranks around the house.

"Her elf is crazy and she loves telling her friends and teachers about what's got up to, so they weren't surprised when she went into school with a bright red face."

Claire enjoys going to the extreme with the surprises and has so far wrapped up the whole of Thienna's bedroom, left the elves in a bath of hot chocolate and even knocked over the Christmas tree.

She added: "I post pictures of the pranks online for my family and friends to see, and my friends' kids are always asking what Thienna's elves have done.

"Everyone knows what I'm like and how mad I am so I've not had any bad reactions to it all.

"Thienna really enjoys it - even though she sometimes tells me off for laughing a bit too much at everything."
