A woman who spent a night complaining about her uncomfortable new shoes awoke to realise she'd actually been wearing them on the wrong feet.

You can't not laugh.

Like many women who opt for heels on a night out, Ayleigh McGhee, from Glasgow, spent a large portion of her evening complaining to her mates that she couldn't walk in her new snakeskin lace-up shoes.

It was only in the morning while looking through some photos that she'd spotted she'd been wearing them on the wrong feet all night. Just brilliant.

In the style of a true friend, Ayleigh's pal Georgia decided to tease her mate by posting the gaff on Twitter.

Sharing the photo of her friend's feet, Georgia wrote: "Ayleigh was actual moanin the full night sayin she couldn't walk in her shoes n only just realised this morning she was wearing them on the wrong feet. This lassie man. [sic]"

The post quickly went viral, wracking up over 33,000 likes.

Understandably, most social media users found Ayleigh's mishap hilarious, with many tagging their friends who they reckoned would do something similar

"Loool why do i feel like this something you'd do," [sic] wrote one commenter tagging a friend.

"Honestly you," LOL'd another.

"Me when I had my dress on backwards when we went out with Emily that time," recalled another, tagging her pal.

"Ahhh the thing is that literally is something I'd do ahahhagahah [sic]," laughed along another.

"Omg dyingggg," giggled along another with some crying lauging emojis, adding: "shoes look peng tho, need some of those beautys in my life ( but on the right feet obvs lol) [sic]"

Our thoughts exactly.

At least Ayleigh saw the funny side, commenting a ton of laughing emojis in the comments.

SO good.
