A woman in Texas has gone viral for posting about her experience as a bridesmaid to a stranger she met on an app two days before the wedding.

When Danielle Haley moved to a new town, she didn't know many people so took to app Bumble BFF to find some new friends.

But she instantly got to build up a lifelong friendship when she met a bride-to-be through the app.

And Danielle took to TikTok to share her positive experience and how she ended up as bridesmaid.

The student began by explaining that she'd moved to the town at the end of January and only knew three people through her study programme.

Danielle added that while all three of her friends had gone back home for Spring Break, she was still in Fort Worth, Texas and so decided to download Bumble BFF to see if she could make some more friends.

"So this morning, Friday morning, I was sitting there swiping on Bumble BFF and I see this girl and she is like talking about her wedding that's on Sunday and I was like 'Oh my gosh, yeah, tell me'."

"So she starts telling me and she's actually like 'I need a bridesmaid' and I was like, 'Oh, tell me more'. So she did and she was like 'Will you be my bridesmaid?' and I was like 'Yes, I'll be your bridesmaid' for a wedding that's in two days."

Danielle added that the bride, Alexis Coffey, then sent her to a local wedding shop to pick up a dress and talked through her colour scheme and showed her the dresses of the other bridesmaids.

Danielle took to TikTok as a way of remembering the experience and to enthuse about how great an idea it was.

"I think it's really funny and I think it's a really cool idea of like, to meet new people and be a part of their special day."

But that's not the only insight that Danielle gave into the wedding. She also shared a video showing off her bridesmaid dress, as well as asking for advice on outfit ideas she was considering for the rehearsal dinner and interviewed the bride in a series of videos she took to document the days leading up to her new friend's wedding.

"What made you decide to do this?" Danielle asked Alexis, before the bride answered: "We moved here, we don't know anybody and we figured you don't talk to the people in your wedding for the rest of your life anyways."

Alexis then revealed that she'd met all of her bridesmaids through Bumble, their wedding photographer and from being in their neighbourhood.

In the latest video, posted about a week after the wedding day, Danielle added that she and the bride were still in touch, and had just been for brunch to celebrate another of the bridesmaid's birthdays.

We love how this friendship has turned out!
