A woman has taken to TikTok to reveal how her mother-in-law "ruined" her pregnancy announcement by spilling the beans before she got to tell the rest of her loved ones.

Morgan Lee says that when she discovered she was having a baby, she turned to her partner's mum before anyone else, because she was "scared".

However, she was upset to see her go on to share the exciting news online before she'd even had a chance to tell her family herself.

In a video which has been viewed more than 125,000 times on TikTok, she admitted that her mother-in-law's actions destroyed the special moment for her.

Morgan said: "A week afterward I found out I was pregnant and I told his mum, I hadn't told any of my family yet because I was just scared."

After hearing the news, her mother-in-law asked her to send over a snap of the pregnancy test - something that confused Morgan, but she did it anyway.

Then, Morgan explained: "Not even five minutes later I get a ping from Facebook saying I was tagged in a post.

"She posted my pregnancy tests and announced to everybody that I was pregnant, online for everyone to see.

"I hadn't told my family yet, I was p***ed, so mad, I wanted to fight her."

Since sharing her story, Morgan has been flooded with over 7,200 messages from people who had been through something similar, or shared in her outrage.

"My ex's mom did this with an ultrasound picture," one person wrote. "She insisted she wanted a copy for herself.

"I [gave] her one and she posted it on social media".

Another person wrote: My MIL did the [same] damn thing. Hadn't had the chance to tell my dad yet. I feel for you girl".

A lot of people had similar stories to Morgan (

While a third echoed: "Brooo mine did the same thing. You just reminded me how annoyed I still am and I'm having the baby in 4 weeks". Yikes.

"Oh hellllll nah," someone else wrote after coming across the post.

As another also expressed their disapproval writing: "I woulda fought someone".

We're not saying all mother-in-laws are a pain in the a**, but there are plenty of people on Twitter who would beg to differ!
