But, while it may look that way, a professional ballet dancer and photographer has captured what it's really like to be a ballerina.

Darian Volkova says she has a unique perspective because she can "feel, see and shoot the dance like only a dancer can."

While travelling with her dance company, Darian takes beautiful and raw snapshots all over the world, revealing a side to the art that the audience never sees.

Russian native Darian is well known for her snapshots in the world of ballet, having captured dancers in Germany, France, Austria, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Czech Republic, Poland, Finland and Italy.
