Teacher Transforms Her Classroom Into Hogwarts And The Results Are Magical

Third grade teacher Tressa wanted her pupils to enjoy coming into school, and she's pulled out all the stops to make sure that happens.

The majority of us are still patiently waiting for our Hogwarts acceptance letters to be dropped off by an owl, but for the pupils at one school in Pennsylvania, those dreams have become a reality.

Third grade teacher Tressa Mellow Bargella has spent her entire summer transforming her classroom into the halls of Hogwarts, and the results are quite truly magical.

Tressa, who teaches at Valley View school in Archbald, shared images of her bewitching classroom on social media, and it's easy to see why they've gone viral.

From mandrakes in plant pots sitting in the windowsill to a tatty sorting hat perched on top of weathered suitcases on the bookcase, Tressa has thought of everything.

Portraits of famous witches and wizards line the room (although they might not talk as they do in Harry Potter!), and the ceiling is covered with flying keys just like in the Philosopher's Stone.

There's also an 'Advice From Albus' corner for pupils to get some words of wisdom from the most powerful wizard of all time, and of course Hedwig and loads of other enchanted creatures call the classroom home - it's enough to give Harry Potter world a run for its money.

Speaking to PRETTY52 about her invention, Tressa explained: "I decided to do it honesty because I love making kids excited for school and getting them to love coming.

"I have always loved HP and it seemed to be perfect and I was able to tie it into so many things - both academic and simply everyday life lessons. Not to mention the kids are just in awe of all things magical and unexplained at this age."

Moaning Myrtle sits at the classroom's sink, and there's even a coat stand to hang your invisibility cloaks on.

If you are wondering how anyone might manage to pull off something so incredible, then Tressa makes it sound like a breeze.

"Many of the decorations I made, most of everything purchased came from Amazon. I also searched all summer at yard sales, flea markets and thrift shops for all kinds of things," she explained.

"I even resorted to posting on Facebook a few times for things I was having trouble finding. It's incredible what people find when they clean out their basement or attic!"

Tressa paid for everything out of her own pocket, and despite it looking pretty magical already, she still might add a few extra bewitching goodies in the next year.

The social media response to the classroom has been huge on Facebook - over 106K likes and 138K shares - and the comments just keep on coming.

"Everyone has been super receptive!" recalled Tressa. "Social media has been crazy! I have had only positive sentiments from the people who have reached out to me.

"I have received thousands of Facebook PM's from everywhere.... all across the US, Denmark, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Canada, Africa, Canada, Italy, Australia and all over the UK. It's been wild!"

With a classroom like that, we'd show up to school every single day without fail.
