If you and your friends like to do things a bit differently - then we might have just the thing for you.

Forget bland Airbnbs and basic hotels, how would you like to whisk your girlfriends away for a countryside weekend all while staying in a big red bus?

Yes, this unique stay sees a 1982 Metro bus excavated and transformed into a luxurious and cosy two-storey home.

The bus is filled with cosy interiors (

Located in the picturesque Newnham on Severn, Herefordshire, the bus is decked out with charming decor and all the mod-cons.

Sleeping up to six guests, it includes two bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom, groundfloor dining area and upper floor living area.

Outside the bus, there's a decking area with a fire pit, and even an outdoor hot tub which you can rent for a little more.

There's even a hot tub where you can soak as you look out to countryside views (

The bus is surrounded by acres of woodland, including the nearby Hangman's wood and the Forest of Dean which is packed with footpaths and cycle routes. You could even climb Symond's Yat Rock which has incredible views of River Wye and its surrounding hills.

If you venture into the local village, you can hire a canoe or have a riverside glass of wine in one of its local pubs.

We reckon' this is the perfect weekend getaway for one of your girls' birthdays, or just a few days in the stunning countryside - summer's coming up, after all!

There's plenty of outdoor activities to do in the local area (

The Red Bus costs £501 per night and you can book on Big Cottages.

Continuing the transport theme, you can also stay in an abandoned train carriage in Eye, Suffolk, which is filled with millennial pink interiors.

The former Edwardian train carriage is complete with candy pink stripe sofas and armchairs, pink wallpaper, tiles and even rugs.
