Nail Technician Dumps Rude Customer Who Complained After Spotting Her In Tesco

Danielle Edwards received a flurry of pushy messages from a client wondering why she had time to shop when she didn't to do her nails.

A nail technician has described how she told a client to "swerve your arse right out of my DMS" after they berated for claiming having no appointments when they had spotted her shopping in Tesco.

Danielle Edwards, who usually works six days a week, had squeezed in a trip to the supermarket before taking her five-month-old son Teddy for a hospital appointment.

However when she arrived home later that evening, the 28-year-old received a shower of messages from a customer asking why she was shopping when she said she was too fully booked to do the client's nails.

Danielle from Blackley, Manchester, had taken the time out of her busy day to do a food shop for her three children and to take her son for his appointment.

In the messages, the unnamed woman said: "Hello? You said you had no appointments this week?"

Danielle politely responded by explaining that she was fully booked, but could try to fit her in next week, at which point the woman argued that she'd spotted her in Tesco and Danielle "could [have] done [her] nails" because she had "time to go [to] Tesco".

Danielle received the pushy messages from her client at 9pm in the evening. (

Still (remarkably) keeping her cool, the single mum replied: "Yes that's right. I work Mon - Sat. I do need to eat and so do my three children, which [may I] say are five and under.

"It's 9pm I've worked all day and not seen my children due to work, so I apologise I was out doing a food shop and not doing your nails."

Unbelievably, the woman continued with her case, saying: "I just wouldn't expect to see someone shopping when they said they had ZERO APPOINTMENTS! I found someone else anyway who works actual late night and will work around her clients!"

At this point, knowing she has nothing to lose, Danielle lost it, replying: "Fan dabby dozy then baby cakes, now swerve your arse rough out of my DMs and go suck a big fat hairy toe you bone idle idiot!!"

Danielle lost it when her client said she was going elsewhere. (

Speaking about the encounter, Danielle said she's glad she lost the client.

"She was fuming. It's just pathetic," she said. "I was angry at first, but now it makes me laugh. I can't even go shopping now.

"I'd rather not do her nails - she can go somewhere else. Losing someone like this isn't the end of the world. She'd only been here a couple of times before.

"I've not heard back from her since then. She blocked me on Instagram now."

Danielle posted screenshots of the exchange on Facebook, writing "Don't message me for an appointment if your gonna get attitude [sic]". (

Danielle, who has five-month-old Teddy, Jack, 20 months, and Jamie, five, says it isn't the first time she's received these kind of messages from entitled clients.

The hard-working nail technician received abuse before when she was nine months pregnant after refusing to book a client's pedicure because she couldn't bend down far enough.

"Earlier this year, when I was still pregnant with Teddy, someone told me they'd 'sit on my side' and called me a 'fat b***h' because I wouldn't do their toes while I was nine months pregnant," recalled the mum.

"I always get messages like this all the time. There's no need to be nasty."

Danielle is now asking for beauty salons customers to remember beauticians, nail technicians and hairdressers "have lives as well".

"My friends and family are fuming because everyone knows I try really hard to fit everyone in," she said.

"My advice to people is please have patience. People who work in beauty have lives as well. It's hard work trying to fit around three children as well, but people need to be patient with their messages."

It seems like some people need reminding having manicured nails isn't a matter of life a death.

Let's have some compassion, shall we?
