Ever accidentally liked your crush's post from five years ago, given up your seat to someone who's not actually pregnant, or 'replied all' with your sarcy reply to that office-wide email?

If so, you might have experienced around five per cent of 31-year-old Danielle Cain's embarrassment level when she accidentally sent a picture of her burnt bum to the carpet fitters last week.

The mum-of-two from Wigan, Greater Manchester, originally took the snap after burning it on the sunbed earlier that week in a bid to banish her white bits.

She intended to share the snap with her new partner, but it was the lucky lady at Carpets At Home who, on requesting a quote from Danielle, ended up on the receiving end over Facebook messenger.

"I've kind of been speaking to this lad and I was telling him about it and he said 'oh my God, send me a picture', so I did - that's why it was on my camera roll", explained Danielle.

"When I was asked to send a picture of my halls, stairs and landing, I've clicked that as well. I realised instantly that I'd sent that picture when they all came up on my screen."

The red-faced hairdresser realised her mistake as soon as she'd hit send, following it up with a flurry of apologetic messages.

"I looked and messaged them 'oh my God, I didn't mean to send that, I'm so so sorry. I've burned my bum in the sunbed'," she added.

Think things couldn't get any worse? Yes, is the answer.

Danielle explained: "What makes it worse is those pictures that I sent in was [sic] of my stairs and landing before I decorated and it looks so scruffy on the pictures."

Fortunately for her, it was an understanding female on the other end of the phone, who managed to steer the conversation back to the underlay.

The sympathetic worker, Ashley, replied: "Don't worry about it. Luckily I'm a girl so I can make sure the lads don't see the pictures. Based on the picture for our budget carpet, including underlay and fitting would be from £160 this includes the gripper or without the underlay would be more around £125."

It seems the Danielle wasn't too worried about keeping the exchange a secret for long, as she took to Facebook to share the hilarious blunder, which has since gone viral with 4,400 comments and 1,900 shares.

Ashley, the social media manager at Carpets At Home said: "It gave me a good laugh it really did. It's funny some of the stuff you see within the flooring trade. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does it cracks me up."

Let's just hope Danielle gets a cheeky little discount for her troubles.
