From Amy Hart's emotional exit to Tommy's adorable 'proposal' to Molly Mae, we'd be lying if we said we hadn't shed our fair share of tears during this year's Love Island.

But one superfan was so overcome with emotion when Ovie broke down following the exit of best pal George from the villa that she suffered a massive fake tan disaster. And luckily for us, she shared the results to her Twitter page.

Niamh Curtin, 18, from Plymouth had just applied fake tan to her face before tuning into Love Island on catch-up and it wasn't long until the tears were flowing, leaving big streaks down her face where the tan had smudged off.

The student uploaded a hilarious picture of the faux pas to her Twitter account alongside the caption: "Don't ever get sad at Love Island after having a spray tan. Oh my days can we just take a minute please."

She then tweeted Ovie's account saying: "All ur fault, was teary after ur bromance with George."

"I had a spray tan in the morning because I had been working the night before," Niamh told Pretty 52. "I wasn't able to watch the episode beforehand so decided to catch up the next morning at the same time.

"It was the recoupling that teared me right up when Ovie started getting emotional about George. I really felt for him after Anna went back to Jordan."

It was only when she went on Snapchat after to message her friends that she realized what had happened.

"I couldn't believe it so I went upstairs into my parents office and I've never seen them laugh so much. It was so so funny," she added.

Every cloud though - Niamh's tweet now has 1.8k likes and was a big source of amusement for her followers, with one replying: "HAHAHAHA NIAHMH!! I have to retweet that" while another said: "Oh that's priceless! Thanks for sharing."

The UK's favourite Islander Ovie was left devastated on Tuesday night's episode when his closest friend George Rains was dumped from the villa.

The group had to make the brutal decision to choose between either Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard or Lucie Donlan and George, and while the 28-year-old heartthrob disagreed with partner Anna Vaiki's choice to dump George, he let her have the final say.

Obviously torn by his decision, the basketball pro later told Anna: "I am supposed to be one of his only friends and I didn't even fight for him."
