There are a few things we'd never allow a partner or friend do and one of them is cut our hair. Someone untrained touching our precious locks? No thank you.
One woman however, wasn't quite so savvy, allowing her boyfriend to cut her fringe with an electric razor with, naturally, disastrous consequences.

21-year-old Amyleigh Weaver was left with a hilarious Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber style haircut after allowing 20-year old Francis Plaka to 'work his magic' on her tresses.
His confidence in his own abilities left Amyleigh feeling certain he'd leave her looking stylish, but having never cut hair in the past, it didn't go quite to plan...especially because the pair decided to use an electric razor.
Amyleigh from Halifax, Yorkshire, had just moved to the area and didn't know where to head for a haircut, but noticing her blonde locks were too long for her liking, she thought she'd let Francis trim her fringe for the time being, until she had time to find a hairdresser.
She instructed Francis on what to do - but did not realise how bad it had gone until she looked in the mirror.
She said: "He got the electric razor and then started to cut away. I told him what to do and I let him get on with it.
"After he was done, he just looked at me and said sorry.
"I ran to the bathroom mirror where I realised everything had gone wrong. I went mental when I realised it was my fringe."
The self-taught makeup artist, she has decided just to laugh about it and treat it as a lesson to never let Francis touch her hair again.
She said: "It is hard not to see the funny side of it".
And despite what happened, the couple, who have been together for a year and also live together, are still going strong.
She said: "I went mental at first but then I just started laughing."
"My boyfriend felt really guilty about it. I regret letting him do it, but at the end of the day it is just hair and it will grow out.
"I would not recommend any other girls let their boyfriend cut their hair, as it will probably all go wrong unless he is a hairdresser."
Sound advice we reckon.
