With the sun finally deciding to come out for the summer, we've all been trying to find ways to cool off in the heat.

However, when this woman bought a paddling pool for her son, she didn't quite get the delivery she was expecting.

Natalie Dee hoped to treat her son to a brand-new paddling pool after his previous one broke.

However, when the pool she had ordered arrived, she opened the box to find that it may be a tight squeeze.

In a Facebook post laughing at the hilarious mix-up, Natalie posted pictures of the teeny tiny pool and captioned: "My son's paddling pool broke over the weekend so I ordered him a new one off Amazon it came today, I opened the box and thought oh".

"My nearly three year old looked at me and said what is that".

"I'm not quite sure son".

The post was met with lots of laughs and solidarity in the comments. Someone joked: "who did they actually design that pool for... a hamster?"

"I am assuming your son isn't the size of a barbie doll... have ordered similar things online myself so I feel your pain.... but it is really funny!" said another Facebook user.

One commenter related to the original post: "I did the same thing last year. My girls love it for their babies."

Some people even had creative solutions of how to still make use of the pool.

One commenter suggested: "I did this last year good to use as a small sand pit with a few small dinosaurs".

Another said: "Get a hook a duck or hook a shark set from Poundland and you have a fun game (that's what I did when I realised it was the size of a foot spa)".

Similarly, another jokingly said: "Blow up water bowl for a dog".

I think it's safe to say that this paddling pool would work better as a foot spa (

Plenty of people shared similar stories of ordering the wrong thing.

"Bit like the one I got last summer my feet are a size 7," said one commenter with a picture of their feet in the paddling pool they ordered.

I think this is a reminder to us all that when we do that emergency online shopping for our summer essentials, always double check the description.
