A man was left in stitches when a delivery driver took the request to leave a parcel "under the doormat" rather literally.
Glenn Jones' TikTok clip of the comical incident has now been liked by more than 300,000 users. You can watch the full video here:

Glenn was out when his large package was delivered earlier this month, so the delivery driver placed it beside the front door of his home in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
But he or she also delicately placed the doormat on top of the object. The driver wrote on the notice "under doormat", which left Mr Jones in hysterics.
Glenn wrote in the video: "Delivery guy still posts the card and does what I've told him to do.
"And that's what's really happened."
The clip opens with a close-up of the delivery card, which reads: 'Sorry I missed you when I came to deliver your parcel' and states the package has been left under Glenn's doormat.

Next we have Glenn walking down his hallway to open the front door, revealing a comically large cardboard box in front of his house, with the doormat balanced carefully on top.
In a follow-up video, Glenn shared more details as to what had happened in the lead-up to the event.
On the day, the delivery driver arrived when Glenn was upstairs. As he took too long answering the door, the Yodel worker wrote him out a note.
Not wanting to miss the delivery, and without having a clue how big the package was, Glenn leaned out of the window and shouted down, saying the driver should leave "whatever it is" under the doormat.

The delivery duly followed his instructions - and TikTokers are loving the resulting footage.
One person wrote: "That is the most discreet place I have ever seen. Hahahaha very funny."
Another said: "Technically it's accurate."
While a third posted: "At least the delivery man had a sense of humour."
