A pet owner has taken to social media to share the hilarious results of a makeover which left her handsome cat looking like an 'accordion'.
After a trip to the groomers for a tiger-inspired 'do by her dad, Caitlin Christine's family cat came back with a look that was less than stylish. The model from San Diego, posted a photograph of the feline to Instagram, who now has his very own account.
Caitlin also shared a screenshot of a text exchange in which her mum fumed over her dad's decision to take Ollie to the groomers and make him look 'absolutely ridiculous'.

"I'm gonna effin kill your father!!! He dropped Oliver off for his groom and this is how he came back. Like seriously gonna puke! I'm so maddddd. Waited 2 months for this appt WTF!!! I can't even look at Oliver... he looks absolutely ridiculous," raged the text message shared to Instagram.
The text was accompanied with a string of photos of Ollie's new fur style.
Caitlin also shed light on what her father asked for at the groomers. "What did you tell the groomer to get Oliver's hair like that?" she questioned in a text to her dad, who replied: "That I wanted strips like a tiger, do what you can, thats it [sic]."

While Caitlin's family might not be happy with the hair cut, it seems like social media users are loving the tiger-inspired 'do as Ollie now has over 1,700 Instagram followers (at the time of writing).
"I laughed so hard I cried. Really made my day. I love it!" commented one person.
And another of @ollietheslinkycat's followers declared: "I was honestly having the worst day, but Ollie's given us a giggle. He's still gorgeous!"
"He reminds me of a Dr. Suess character," quipped somebody else.
Caitlin also defended herself against accusations that the family did this "intentionally", clarifying: "It was a joke my dad played on my mom. The groomer and my cat are good sports."
