Don't Tell The Bride Viewers Dub Woman 'Sour-faced' After Her Tears At Fiancee's Wedding Planning

Husband Nathan went for an all-out Northern Soul style bash, despite Beccie saying she wanted a "princess" wedding

It's normal for husbands to get it wrong on Channel 4's Don't Tell The Bride, but they don't often get it SO wrong. Nathan, from Stoke, was handed £13,000 to create the dream wedding for his bride Beccie, who described herself as a "princess" and "girly girl", and he totally missed the mark...

Nathan made her bridesmaids wear parkas for the wedding and Beccie (understandably) lost it. However, viewers called Beccie "sour-faced" after she became upset.

Beccie told the show that dream had been to be a princess for a day, walking down a staircase in a stately home, yet Nathan somehow failed to pick up on this, and instead decided a "Northern Soul themed wedding" was the answer.

As Beccie walked down the aisle, he decided he'd be up at the front, on a guitar, singing a song that he'd written with his best mate Levi.

Nathan also used part of the £13,000 to get himself a tattoo with the wedding date on it, and also organised a stag do for him and his mates to go to Hamburg in Germany. His wife-to-be took a bus for a night out in nearby Congleton.

She was upset with some of his choices, but the internet went to town.

Beccie said she preferred a more "Disney" approach to weddings, and Nathan's decision to make everything about music, and to some extent, him, certainly rubbed Beccie and her bridesmaids up the wrong way.

Beccie also refused to wear the Irregular Choice shoes he had bought for her, and instead wore a pair of her own as she disliked them so much.

Nathan was as straight-talking as they came. At one point he said: "The proposal, I don't know why people make massive deals out of them to be honest. I just proposed in the car."

Beccie said: "He's going to have a hard time if he does anything stupid."

The Bridesmaids hated the luminous pink dresses, but warmed to the parka coats they had to wear over them because it at least hid how hideous they were.

Becci had originally wanted a big Cinderella style wedding at Sandon Hall, a stately home. She told viewers: "Nathan should know that I am a princess at heart. It's like when you're growing up though. This is what you imagine."

To top it off, Beccie had always dreamed about a big princess gown. Instead he spent £699 on a short dress because it's "more practical for the dancing."

In the end, although she criticised him throughout the wedding, she did end up liking it and said: "I don't know a lot about northern soul but I do think he's done such a good job."
